Tasmania is filled with cool, quirky, bohemian and lots of simply amazing cafes. We must have stopped by dozens on our way around the island. We will probably highlight a few more but we will start with one of our absolute favourites, The Possum Shed Cafe in Westerway, on the road and not far from Mount Field National Park.

On our way to walk Russel Falls and The Tall Trees Walk in Mount Field National Park we had the total pleasure of stopping for lunch at The Possum Shed.
It may not look like much from the street if you are passing by but you simply have to stop!

The back of the cafe has verandas and levels overlooking the beautiful Tyenna River and the countryside beyond. What a treat to sit in the sunshine and marvel at the scenery.

We also need to mention some of the best raspberry muffins and scones that we have ever had, combined with steaming hot flat whites and the coolest girls running the joint, we could not have eaten at a better place than The Possum Shed Cafe!
