Street Eats @ Franko is a beloved weekly street-food night market in Hobart’s Franklin Square, running each Friday evening during the warmer months, typically from December through April, between 4:30 pm and 9:00 pm.

A slightly more chilled and with more locals than the Salamanca Market, this is the perfect place to eat, drink and listen to music while lounging on the lawn. Picnic blankets are provided.

Tasmanian-produced food from diverse and exciting vendors (think international flavors with local ingredients). A curated selection of local craft beverages—beer, cider, spirits, and wine. Live music performances spanning various genres, turning the Square into a lively social hub. It was cool to hang watching the locals dance, children running wild and the smoke from the bbq flavouring the evening air.

There’s also a larger, fiery variant called Flamin’ Franko, a dedicated two-day barbecue festival held in March at the same location and expanding into the adjacent carpark.
