We normally do not blog about food exclusively but there are times for exceptions. On our recent visit to Florida, swimming with manatees, looking at space rockets and having a grand time, we ended our stay at our favourite hotel on South Beach, the Surfcomber.

And while visiting South Beach previously, we are not sure how many years ago (they opened in 2014), we found this awesome little taco shacks tucked away next to the entrance of a parking garage. It has since moved further down Collins Avenue just west of the 14th street intersection.

Taquiza serves some of the best tacos we have ever eaten. The menu is not big but everything on it is so delish, and we have eaten our way through the whole menu on our visits. Out of 3 dinners in South Beach, 2 were spent at Taquiza. They also have a location on North Beach.
If you visit, we will highly recommend the totopos, blue corn masa crunchy chip with a soft centre, these nachos with homemade guacamole are to die for! Also Ørjan would like to recommend the chapulines (grasshoppers) taco, very good and very crunchy. Tanja will recommend the asada and huitaloches, finger lickin` good!

The crunchy grasshoppers sound interesting menu selection!
